Real Business Problems. Biblical Wisdom. Practical Action.

Running a business as a Christian doesn't mean every problem is solved by being told to pray harder, wait longer, or simply have more faith.

Sometimes you need to look at the numbers. Sometimes you need to change the strategy.

Sometimes you need to collect the invoice, raise the price, cut the expense, make the call, fix the process, or have the difficult conversation.

The Christian Business is where faith meets the everyday reality of running a business.

We talk about the real problems business owners face and ask one simple question:

What can you do about it today, in faith?

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Faith Should Lead to Action.

We believe in prayer. We believe in seeking God's wisdom. We believe in trusting God when we don't know what's coming next.

But we don't believe faith means doing nothing.

There are times to wait. There are also times to move.

PRAYER

Our Foundation

Bring the business to God. Pray about the decision. Ask for wisdom, provision, direction, favor, and discernment.

WISDOM

Our Direction

Look at what Scripture teaches, but also look honestly at what's happening in your business. Know your numbers. Understand the problem. Seek wise counsel. Pay attention to what's working and what isn't.

ACTION

Our Responsibility

Then do something.

Make the call. Send the invoice. Follow up with the client. Review the numbers. Cut the unnecessary expense. Fix the pricing. Change the process. Ask for the referral. Have the difficult conversation. Make the decision.

Prayer is not a substitute for action.

Action is not a substitute for prayer.

There is a place for both.

Let's Talk About What You're Actually Dealing With.

Running a business can get complicated quickly.

You can have revenue and still have no money.

You can have plenty of clients and still struggle to make a profit.

You can work twelve hours a day and still wonder why nothing seems to be moving forward.

You can pray about a decision and still have absolutely no idea what you're supposed to do next.

Those are the conversations we want to have here.

I'm working all the time. Why isn't my business growing?

Being busy and being productive aren't necessarily the same thing. Let's figure out which activities are actually producing results.

My business is making money. Why do I never have any?

Revenue isn't profit, and profit isn't always cash in the bank. Let's talk about where the money is actually going.

Business is slow. What should I actually do?

There may be seasons in business, but a slow season doesn't mean you have to sit still and wait for something to happen.

Do I need more clients, or do I need to fix my business first?

More customers won't automatically fix bad pricing, poor cash flow, inefficient processes, capacity problems, or work that isn't profitable.

I can't afford to hire, but I can't keep doing everything myself.

Before adding another payroll expense, let's look at processes, capacity, pricing, delegation, and what actually needs your attention.

Should I keep fighting for this, or is it time to let something go?

Perseverance matters. But so does recognizing when something is consuming resources without producing fruit.

More Than Christian Encouragement.

There is plenty of Christian business content that tells us to seek God, trust Him, pray, have faith, and wait on His timing.

Those things matter.

But when you're staring at a bank account that doesn't have enough money in it, wondering how you're going to make payroll, dealing with a difficult employee, losing clients, drowning in debt, or trying to decide whether to keep going, you also need practical answers.

That's why The Christian Business exists.

We want to take biblical truth and bring it into the situations business owners are actually dealing with.

Not just: “Wait on God.”

But: “While I'm trusting God, what can I faithfully do today?”

Business Advice From Someone Actually Running a Business.

I'm Tanya Lawrence, an accountant, and business owner.

I've spent years working with small-business owners while also navigating the realities of owning and operating businesses myself.

Cash flow. Payroll. Employees. Taxes. Debt. Clients. Pricing. Growth. Slow months. Difficult decisions. Great years. Hard years.

I've experienced the decisions that look simple from the outside but feel completely different when you're the person responsible for making them.

I created The Christian Business to help Christian business owners take biblical wisdom beyond inspiration and put it to work in their businesses.
